Men’s embroidered wool felt hat from Uzbekistan

Elkin Quilt Block

Story of the block

In Kyrgyzstan, my husband and I lived in city called Osh, which borders with Uzbekistan. That is why, in Osh 50 percent of the population are Uzbeks. The Uzbek hat, I believe my husband got it from one of the farmers working in the tobacco fields.

This hat is also handmade from pieces of cotton materials. These kind of hats can be made in many different ways, using different materials and styles. Their prices are from $5 up to $100.
